Cyclones vs. Utes: a marketer’s dream

Saturday is a chance for Iowa State football fans to make a statement. All you have to do is buy tickets, attend the game against Utah and cheer loudly.

The backdrop for the game is a marketer’s delight:

The Cyclones are coming off an exciting Big 12 victory over Texas Tech. Enthusiasm is running high for Coach Paul Rhoads’ club.

The weather forecast for Saturday calls for temperatures in the 70s. That’s pretty comfortable for October in Iowa.

The opponent – Utah – is ranked No. 10 in both the AP and USA Today polls. Other than Iowa (who was ranked in the Top 10 three times), the Cyclones have NEVER hosted a Top 10 non-conference foe in Ames.

The Cyclones are on stage. No other Division 1A teams in state are playing.

Tickets are affordable. Hillside tickets, for instance, cost $30 for adults and $15 for kids.

Now is the time, more than ever, for Cyclone fans to show they can respond to a challenge and come to Jack Trice Stadium.

What’s your excuse? We look forward to seeing you Saturday night.
